Pharmacy Law Review and USP 797 and 800 Update- Nov. 11th

This will be a brief review of Pharmacy Law for pharmacy staff which is needed yearly. The second half of the presentation will be focused on USP 797 and 800 updates. This is extremely important for us to be compliant in the Cancer Center. This program has been planned for Baptist Health employees. An access code will be required.

1. Review of state and federal laws surrounding the pharmacy practice including the requirements for the dispensing of medications, prescriptions, prescribers, and controlled substance regulations

2. Compare and contrast the rules and regulations for pharmacist, interns, and technicians.

3. Describe key components of USP 797

4. Describe key components of USP 800, including the NIOSH drug list, Assessments of Risk, and Rules and Regulations for Infusion and Community Practice.
