Preceptor Development- 2020 Recorded Webinar
In order to serve as an Alabama preceptor of pharmacy interns/externs, a pharmacist must be duly licensed and meet requirements as established by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP). The purpose of this activity is to provide the participant with the specialized training/education needed to serve in this important role.
This 3hr recorded program includes a review of the ALBOP regulations and AUHSOP expectations.
This unique program was developed to educate and assist preceptors on inter-professional education, motivating students, improving student performance, demonstrating to students the importance all practice settings, and improving overall communication. Engaging material will include interactive lectures, group discussions, and real-world examples.
This program is intended for licensed pharmacists that are seeking preceptor certification or recertification with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy.

Describe how layer learning (LL) can benefit learner education and practice site productivity.
Identify potential opportunities for layered learning with a given area of pharmacy practice.
Discuss how to address barriers to implementing layered learning with pharmacy learners.
Describe best-practices of precepting that facilitate successful layered learning.
