Evidence continues to emerge exploring the risks vs benefits of dietary supplements particularly with vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids, multi-vitamins as well as other supplements. It is pertinent for pharmacists to have an understanding of when these supplements are safe to use and when they should be de-prescribed.
