The Alabama Asthma Coalition is comprised of community members and healthcare professionals including nurses, respiratory therapists, certified asthma educators, physicians, and pharmacists who meet together once a month to discuss ways to improve asthma self management in Alabama. Five key focus areas for the coalition for 2024 include asthma education and training, vaping in Alabama youth, asthma in Alabama schools, stocking albuterol in Alabama schools, and focusing on improving health equity related to asthma.
