When thinking of a stereotypical patient with osteoporosis, the mind thinks of the elderly female population. However, osteoporosis is a disease that can affect both the male and female population. This disease can be preventable and manageable but appropriate screening for osteoporosis is not done in the healthcare system. This CE presentation's main focus is to present information on the appropriate screening, diagnostic, and treatment measures available.

Dr. Wendy Zheng is originally from Meridian, MS where she attended Meridian Community College before heading to the University of Mississippi for her Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Through the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2020. Upon graduation, she worked as a retail pharmacist for Walgreens as a floater and pharmacy manager. Currently she practices as a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System.
