The presentation will review the incidence and prevalence of co-occurring chronic medical conditions and mental health disorders. For the purpose of time, the presentation will focus on treatment of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases including hypertension, and infectious diseases, specifically HIV and hepatitis. Discussion will include the importance of treating both the chronic disorder and the mental health disorder in order to achieve the best outcome.
