Guidelines for the secondary prevention of stroke were updated late 2021 with new recommendations for antiplatelet therapy in the setting of non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke. Treatment pathways for the treatment of cardioembolic stroke and timing of anticoagulation was also updated.
