Community Acquired Pneumonia in the Older Adult

The Community Acquired Pneumonia Guidelines were updated in Fall of 2019. There are many important updates to the guidelines that healthcare team members should be aware about, especially when it comes to caring for older adults.

  2. Explain updates to the guidelines for adult patients with community acquired pneumonia
  3. Discuss therapy considerations for older adult patients with community acquired pneumonia
  4. Develop a pharmacotherapeutic plan for an older adult patient with community acquired pneumonia.

Taylor Steuber

PharmD, BCPS

 

Taylor Steuber, PharmD, BCPS is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Harrison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Steuber joined HSOP in August, 2016. He
earned his Pharm.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2014. He went on to pursue a 24-month PGY-1/PGY-2 residency in pharmacotherapy
with Indiana University and Butler University in Indianapolis. He is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the
American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). His practice and scholarship interests include infectious diseases, anticoagulation, and the
scholarship of teaching and learning.
