This presentation will be about the USP 797 updates to prepare for the changes that will be effective November 1st, 2023.

Target Audience

This knowledge-based program is intended for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.  For this specific educational offering, the target audience will be employees of Baptist Health. 

Learning Objectives

1) Differentiate between the different compounded sterile products (CSP) and the beyond use dates (BUD) described in USP 797 (2022).
2) List the conditions and steps to successful initial and subsequent gloved fingertip and thumb sampling (GFT) and medial fill testing
3) Identify the USP 797 (2022) requirements for the label of a CSP and define the difference between a compounding record versus a mater formulation record.
