Oncology Drug Updates

This will be an update of drug information on new oral and IV oncology drugs presented to Oncology Pharmacy employees. This will get everyone a brief overview on how to prepare, dispense and monitor side effects. This program has been planned for Baptist Health employees. An access code will be required.

Target Audience

This program has been planned for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within Baptist Health Systems.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify new Oncology pharmacologic treatment options that have come to market in 2020 

2. Discuss indication, pharmacology, drug interactions, adverse effects and key patient counseling information for new oral Oncology pharmacologic treatments 

3. Discuss indication, pharmacology, adverse effects, administration, storage, vesicant properties, premedication recommendations, and key patient counseling information for new intravenous Oncology pharmacologic treatments

4. Appraise the potential role in therapy of new Oncology pharmacologic treatments and their current status in treatment guidelines
