Opioid De-Escalation, Dr. Taylor Steuber

This webinar addresses the complex topic of de-prescribing and tapering opioids. There is lack of formal guidance in this area yet there is a large push to taper patients off of opioids.

The Opioid Training Institute is a cooperative effort of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. It is made possible by a grant provided by SAMHSA.

Taylor Steuber

PharmD, BCPS

 

Taylor Steuber, PharmD, BCPS is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Harrison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Steuber joined HSOP in August, 2016. He earned his Pharm.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2014. He went on to pursue a 24-month PGY-1/PGY-2 residency in pharmacotherapy with Indiana University and Butler University in Indianapolis.

He is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). His practice and scholarship interests include infectious diseases, anticoagulation, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

 Auburn University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education; credits are recognized nationwide.
