The value of a pharmacist can be emphasized with the patient care that can be provided to patients with hypothyroidism and the management of their medications and disease state.

Target Audience

This knowledge-based course is intended for Pharmacists.

Learning Objectives

1. Interpret diagnostic and/or laboratory tests in patients with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism

2.  Determine the most appropriate pharmacotherapy and monitoring in patients with thyroid disease

3.  Identify and develop management plans for common drug interactions and adverse drug reactions experienced by patients treated for thyroid disorders
