Pushing the Limit: Diuretic Resistance

This CE presentation will discuss recent literature and position statements regarding managing diuretic resistance in patients that present with acute decompensated heart failure.

  • Identify etiologies of diuretic resistance
  • Define diuretic threshold and ceiling effect
  • Identify appropriate strategies to individualize therapy in patients not meeting diuresis goals
  • Evaluate markers of renal function during diuretic therapy
