Recorded Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) Considerations for Older Adults

This session introduces the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) as a vital tool in addressing prescription drug misuse and improving patient safety. Attendees will learn how PDMPs function, how to access and interpret data, and how they support clinical decision-making. Special attention will be given to the unique needs and risks of older adults. The session aims to equip healthcare providers and caregivers with practical strategies to use PDMPs effectively while promoting safe prescribing practices for aging populations.
