Recorded Sterile Compounding: 2022 Update for USP 797 and Beyond

Appropriate sterile compounding is an essential skill for pharmacists involved in the provision of sterile products.  The U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) has established standards for preparing sterile products, but these standards undergo periodic revisions and updates.  This program will provide an update on the current status of USP guidance for sterile compounding.

This program has been approved by the ALBOP for continuing education didactic renewal requirements for pharmacists certified in sterile compounding. To fully comply with the ALBOP sterile compounding renewal requirements for both didactic and practical components, participants must complete their practical component outside of this program offering. Results from fingertip/ media fill tests will fulfill the practical component requirement.
