Sterile Compounding in Practice: A 2026 Update
This annual refresher reinforces the core competencies required for USP and ALBOP-compliant sterile compounding. The session reviews common aseptic technique, garbing, and PEC‑use errors observed during audits and inspections, highlighting real‑world failure points and practical remediation strategies. Learners also examine updates to regulatory requirements, standards revisions, and emerging best practices to ensure sustained alignment with current expectations. The presentation concludes with an analysis of lessons learned from reported events, quality control findings, and quality assurance audits, emphasizing how these insights strengthen overall compounding quality and organizational readiness.
This program has been approved by the ALBOP for continuing education didactic renewal requirements for pharmacists certified in sterile compounding.
