Vax Facts: Navigating the Latest Immunization Updates

October 25, 2026

The session will cover updates on vaccines and immunization recommendations from multiple organizations, along with case-based scenarios that apply these updates to patients of various ages using several immunization tables. Participants will learn how to download mobile applications that support patient assessment of vaccine needs. The session will cover recent updates to vaccine recommendations, which participants will then apply using the apps and slides to develop vaccine plans for diverse patient scenarios. Information about new vaccines available for patients will also be discussed.
Evaluating a patient’s immunization status is a standard responsibility for pharmacists. Each year, vaccine availability and recommendations are subject to changes. It is crucial for all healthcare providers to stay informed about updates in vaccine recommendations, which this session will provide. Some state laws mandate that pharmacists who administer immunizations complete ACPE-approved, immunization-related continuing pharmacy education (CPE) during each state licensing period, and this program session can help fulfill those requirements.

This program has been approved by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy for continuing education credit to meet Immunization renewal licensure requirements.
