This presentation focuses on the critical role of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where patients are highly susceptible to infections and often exposed to broad spectrum antibiotics.

The purpose of the Alabama Infectious Diseases Society (ALIDS) is to promote strong antimicrobial stewardship throughout the state of Alabama.  This in-person meeting will provide educational sessions on different topics related to antimicrobial stewardship.
