This presentation will review the ALBOP rules regarding precepting externs/interns in the state of Alabama as well as the college's requirements and expectations of preceptors. Preceptors in Alabama have specific training requirements for the ALBOP which this program meets for initial training and renewal which is required every 2 years. This course is also approved by the ALBOP for its required preceptor training.

This presentation aims to provide non-oncology pharmacists with an overview of chemotherapy, biotherapy, and radiotherapy supportive care. The American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria is one of the most commonly utilized tools and has been updated in 2023. Social determinants of health (SDoH) are linked to diabetes and prediabetes prevalence, poorly controlled diabetes, and cardiometabolic disease disparities leading to national calls to address upstream SDoH to improve health equity. In order to act upon SDoH – either through tailored care delivery or social referral outside of the health system – clinicians must first be able to screen for adverse SDoH, or social risks.
