Program Packet - Recorded Category X.pdf
This presentation will summarize the FDA Pregnancy and Lactation Labeling Rule approved in December 2014 which was fully implemented 2020. Many practitioners are still unaware of the changes in the labeling of medications for use in patients who are pregnant or lactating. It is imperative they understand how to interpret the new labeling and where to find appropriate resources for this information. The pro and cons of pregnancy and lactation content in current drug information resources will be reviewed.
