This presentation will review the ALBOP rules regarding precepting externs/interns in the state of Alabama as well as the college's requirements and expectations of preceptors. Preceptors in Alabama have specific training requirements for the ALBOP which this program meets for initial training and renewal which is required every 2 years. This course is also approved by the ALBOP for its required preceptor training.

This presentation aims to provide non-oncology pharmacists with an overview of chemotherapy, biotherapy, and radiotherapy supportive care. The objective is to equip pharmacists outside of the oncology setting with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support cancer patients undergoing these treatments. Evidence supporting the educational need includes the increasing complexity of cancer therapies and the potential for adverse events and drug interactions that require specialized management.
